I thouGhT....
wHen caMP reperio 2006 had finished....i thought i could finally take a break and enjoy my holidays. I was wrong haha not only did i hav to finish up backlogged stuff from the camp, i had to contend with IVP, Silat Matric Fair, PSK, Tunas Harapan and startin my silat exco duties....hahaha lepas satu, satu...ish
the silat pple did NUS proud by coming in 2nd overall with a haul of 5 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze yahoo! hooray for the team manager hahahhaha wa caya sama lu!!! but of coz it diden come easy, with all the controversy surrounding the format of determining the overall champion and several other glitches throughout the competition. nuthin's perfect, but i really felt disappointed coz of the politics dat were involved in a sporting event of this nature....shant disclose so much on my blog la..coz its very subjective and sensitive *sigh*
of coz there were times to rest hhehee like the jb trip, MS appreciates nite and the pulau ubin fishing trip hhahahah was super fun and kental la...took many2 kental and tak senonoh pics ahakz i diden realli fish la coz like my tgn baru baik kan...den like wen i throw out the line...its like so near the shore...no point kan =p but cycling ard ubin island was fun :) altho i got leg cramps after dat ahahahhahaha oh yea...even had a soccer game on fri...i scored a goal la coz azmeer was the keeper hahahaha! power la chong...! but got leg cramp ahhahaha so retire early... =p
the reading circles talk on jerusalem's demystification and arab-israeli conflict was very insightful and informative. A summary by Mr Nawab (the facilitator) :
1) the Arab-Israeli war is a political conflict and religion plays a very minor role in this on-going tensions. Zionists who perpetuate the war are secular, rather than religious Jews
2) not all Jewish are zionists and bad. there muz be a distinction made between judaism and zionism
3) justification of violence by religion is incorrect. ethics of engagement should precede in any conflict and negotiation. the showing of adab will reflect on the beautiful nature of Islam
ANDDDD...hehehe siti made my day today! she's dis K2 girl who is my guru silat nye anak sedare hehehe =D during the silat competition today, i took out my cam to take pics...den she sibuk2 wan 2 see the pics in my cam and those pics from MSA were still in my cam....so i decided to ask her mane2 pompuan2 yg lawa. "yg ni lawa...yg ni pon lawa....tapi yg purple paling lawa...." hahahhaa ok ok...special mention on my blog eh....siti ckp liza, nadiah, kamie lawa...n izean paling lawa hahaahaha ohh ohh and i asked her to point out laki mane yg hansem....so i pointed out the guys, abeh dier ckp tk hansem. den wen i pointed 2 myself "yg ni hansem tak?"
she angguk and said "umm...hansem!!!" hahahahaha yay! and she made a paper cat for me too!! double yay! hehe =)
