Its time
Its time for another update! haha i noe its 1.30 am in the morn and its raining...i shd be sleeping! but i dunno, i cant sleep...was watching tv while doing work, so obviously not much done :p

I tink my two good frens were crazy today haha...i shall not name who...coz if not i will not 'hear the end of it' (dis is a direct quote) but well, it started of at the forum steps eating kebabs and ramly burgers and suddenly started talking abt syntaxes, oxymorons, philosophical deep, thought provoking questions intermixed with laughter and accidental blunders of speech or jokes yg tk menjadi....so it became very funny. Penat aku ketawe. Lemme juz summarize some of the stuff...and i can bet dat u'd probably be scratching ur head :p

1. We have all become bygones...fading into the background. If the foreground is the future, then how are we supposed to embrace future if we keep falling back?
2. Dracula - full of mystery. So is it true, from a female perspective dat men who are mysterious are appealing? I realli have 2 work on becoming mysterious la. Im like so predictable.......haha
3. kurtosis (is dat the spelling?) - the act of purging emotions. Lets use vomit as analogy. When you vomit, u are purging out negativity...meaning that ur body loses something. And wen pple see u vomit, there will be different reactions - sympathy, repulsiveness, inaction. Similarly, wen we purge our emotions (can be anger or sadness) to someone else, we may feel better BUT it may invite different responses from pple....
4. Death is the only time wen we stop choosing
5. Why do we do things that we believe we have time for it, but not do things we believe we dun have time for?
With that....i leave you hehehehe

The Daffodil Principle (http://friendsacrossamerica.com/daffodil.html)
The principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration. That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time -- often just one baby-step at a time --and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time.

When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world!

"It makes me sad in a way," I admitted to Carolyn. "What might I have accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty years ago and had worked away at it 'one bulb at a time' through all those years. Just think what I might have been able to achieve!

"My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way. "Start tomorrow," she said. It's so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays. The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for regret is to only ask....
"How can I put this to use today?"

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation, or when we retire.

The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with... and remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting...Until your car or home is paid offUntil you get a new car or homeUntil your kids leave the houseUntil you go back to schoolUntil you finish schoolUntil you lose 10 lbs.Until you gain 10 lbs.Until you get marriedUntil you get a divorceUntil you have kidsUntil you retireUntil summerUntil springUntil winterUntil fallUntil you die

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one's watching.

Naddie dedicated 'Lift Me Up' by backstreet boys to me a couple of nights ago. I've never heard of the song..but it does seem nice especially the lyrics :) lift me up when you are feeling down.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alu0ESipbQ0

And makcik dedicated another song tooo! 'Let the Music Heal your Soul". Old school!!!! hahaha but yeah... music gives you happiness or sadness, but it also heals your soul :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5jZGPv0_j4

MRT ride
Imagine arguing and laughing for almost 45mins on the train with 3 lovely ladies in baju kurung hahahah (hint hint...please compliment me on ur blogs hahaha). I tink dis is the 1st time dis sem nurul go home wif me. Rabak nurul! ape jadi ngan khatib clan?
For some apparent reason, the two psych students were practically, stubbornly insisting that psychology is better den sociology. Hence the fight....dat was punctuated by bouts of laughter haha from cognitive development to reappraisal solutions to emotional themes of hostility, sadness and happiness to interests and memories; they tried shooting me down and insist on the individual psyche :p and of coz i masokkan la theories2 sociology...mcm social reproduction of memories la, self-fulfilling prophecies, subculture pon bole masok hahaha and altho soci generalizes the trends...there is room for exceptions and ano(maly)s hahhahaa
And lunch wif kamie, zola and maly was nice too. Standard la...zola ngan kamie gaduh bende2 merepek :p and all the funni2 comments...susah la nak makan :p but these are the simple pleasures in life dat sometimes u take within ur grasp because u cant be happy all the time...maybe its time again for the 'fadzli syndrome' haha

random
In a society, family is the basic unit of institution. To start a family, you need to have a marriage. For a marriage to work, spouses have to work together, keep it alive, keep it happy. To do that, cover up each other's secrets...

Stories And Happiness

I was talking to Hakim and Maly...the 2 ex-presidents....nez time bile da tua, i can tell my anak2 or cucu2 dat 'long before your time, in the western division of spore....i had 2 great frens who were the greatest presidents of their time (in my sepet eyes of course). And i had a crazy bunch of soon-to-be cronyistic friends yg makan nutella banana at musollah etc etc etc....."
Haha learnt in childhood and youth dat those 'stories' dat ur parents/grandparents keep repeating over and over and over and over again...is a marker of your identity of ur family. It has a moral twist at the end - 'be like dis person, dun be like dis person'. Like for example how my nenek, everytime i push her on the wheelchair or help her walk or eat her food, she will say....'dah besar fadzli. Dulu kecik2 nenek jaga, masak satu tgn, angkat fadzli lagi satu tgn...kalo tkde pape kat tv, bukak je 'andy lawson' the motor racer nanti fadzli tgk diam2. Skrg dah besar, fadzli pulak jaga nenek'
OR
'ingat fadzli suka makan cake? adelah mintak banana 'take' banana take...ape budak ni nak? ape tu banana take? rupenye banana CAKE *laughs* abeh bile tido, si apek van roti dtg horn2...atok kau lari kluar marah tu apek ckp cucu dier tgh tido'
And i get this 2 stories everytime i go to my rumah nenek on weekends for the past dunno how many years hahaha and if u actualli see beyond those stories...it actualli talks abt morality and filial piety. How dey have shown unconditional love in taking care of me... :D I noe each of u have ur own 'stories' repeated to u over and over again hehehe i dare u to share hehe
Anyway, back to the 2 greatest (x)presidents - they were telling me abt dis complex concept called 'being happi and making others happi'. It has to do with negotiation and reconciliation and compromise...and i think dats tough coz there is always a sacrifice to be made, be it wad u want/happiness and abt what others want of u/making others happi' Sometimes, being selfish is the only way to get what u want, if u keep thinking abt wad others think/feel den u never get what u want. Its all about rational thinkin...den again the problem is that if u keep thinking and harping and weighing everythin out...haha penat seh. U just do it...

I Like Chilling

I like chilling at the forum just now :D After 2 days straight of tests...i think its time for a break. Ya right hahaha wad break? with 4 assignments due within the next 3 weeks haha was slacking around with Zola...who kept singing 'Ku sangkakan....hari nak hujan...angin bertiup, tk bawak textbook....'. With kamie...whom im still calling an elitist, eventho she saved a seat for me in class haha (ok fine..thx kamie!) and maly who wore orange with me today...coincidentally ahakz..

And pple started dropping by...hafie, who was studying her emotions test, but couldnt explain wad kind of emotions am i feeling...and nurul keli2 who, for some reason wanted to salam mi (did i become a girl in ur eyes? sheeeshh haha)...and faatihah and naim who finished spore society and needed a sociological perspective haha...and bobby...who came by for 'consultation'...and khalid...who came by and i kept laughing as he bickered with maly :p

Bottom line is....chilling is fun, at the end of the week :p and nez week...gonna be all out for my assignments!
Think abt dis...zola said: Look at problems as new opportunities (for growth).....hmmm.....
