@ Macs
After training we all went down to engine macs to makan. Haha everyone was laughing (mcm biase :p) and i was sitting at another table with jason (our foreign talent, same as david) and was asking him stuff to do with my assignment. Getting a US perspective and it was realli interesting. I think he helped alot ah...like gave me a direction to do my paper. Yay! and from civil society, we talked abt aviation, international law, palestine-israel issue, Islam, Judaism, his career....hahaha realli a mouthful :p
Then on the way back we were talking abt our experiences in different countries (more of him la since i never went out of spore more than a mth before hahaha) and he was telling me how it was watching movies in the Netherlands. In the middle of the show, they will just stop the show at a random point and have a ten minute break to grab a beer! Its like in one scene the guy is punching...and they just cut...have a 10 min break...u come back to see another guy kicking...hahaha different eh? Culture shapes us....social construct! hahaha
Anyway...the silat pple are great! Performance power la...... :D yay for us!

Nyonya YIH: Lu bile mau gemuk? Tak makan kah?
Me: Makan abeh tak gemuk nak macam mane?
Nyonya YIH: Makan lebih ah...baru bagus!
I've known the auntie cleaner at YIH for 2 years already hehe hakim taught me a very important lesson - be humble, never underestimate those you think you are better than them. COz u never know wen u need their help. Sometimes, a smile or a simple thank you or making small talk with the makcik2 or aunties at canteen, library or anywhere can be upliftingly funny and fulfilling too hehehe knowing that they are alright and doing OK........ :)

Random RamblingsLooking at Maly's blog...im wondering, wad on earth am i doing here in Spore wen i can go for exchange???? hahahaha but well, im comfortable here....going through familiar lecture halls, walkways, familiar places to eat and hang out and explore and familiar faces too :) im such a bore and an un-adventurer :pIve been doing my CV since sunday but apparently my sis has lots of comments so i have to keep editing sampai malas haha past tense la, too descriptive la etc etc etc but im grateful to have someone who actually looks at it thoroughly to make sure its perfect and in tip top shape...Im goin for my first internship interview and im getting the butterflies haha...met up wif mark dis afternoon for lunch and he was giving me tips. 1) Be confident, eventho u noe ure bullshitting haha 2) Show interest in wad u are applying for 3) Dont hold back...because they look for people who communicate well.....Hmm i think those are general but very sound advice woohoo!
Time flies very quickly and its like gonna be the end of Week 6. Ive got loads of assignments to do and readings to catch up on...but well, look forward, dun look back coz there are things worth looking forward to!

Post FarewellAnd so on saturday, i bid farewell to another good fren of mine as she made her way to the 'kambings' of New Zealand haha...hmm haven heard from her since SO maly, if ure reading...CEPAT UPDATE BLOG! ahahaha and i also had a nice surprise on Sunday when Fazli called alllllll the way from Sweden. Power lah lu! One month has passed real quick...so dats how long my other 'gonna be hot rich and famous buddy' has been away. Baik li...Assignments are piling in fast and furious and readings are getting heavier by the day. And perhaps simple getaways are nice once in awhile to take your mind off things like school work, dramas of school life (im learning dramaturlogy by Goffman) and more work haha :)
Simple is sweet.

What happens when a group of guys plan a picnic? Well u get lots of laughter, lots of 'gaduh' and 'merajok' hahahaha and thx azmeer (pasal dier stemek tkde pape nak buat kat keje dier) for organizing this outing for us. MemoriesIts a pleasant surprise to terserempak with old friends whom you have long since contacted :) And by this I mean Mark and Rebecca...since 1st 3 months in NYJC. Not that i have forgotten them but perhaps we take for granted what we used to have and focus too much on the present. And 'terserempak sessions' like this is always pleasant and u decide to meet up for lunch and catching up, which i gonna do next week! yay!
And this is out to good fren nurul.....HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY! You're old! ahhaha but nvm, still nurul keli-keli of the khatib clan :)
And just one more, i read in my social psych textbook....there is this test on the 'self' (well in soci, the self is a social construct...wads new? hahahha) its called 'Who am I?' You list 20 things that make you who you are....and if u like, compare it with frens. its fun! ok im gile hehehehehe
