Raya at Nenek's House
Every raya...im always the one with the camera...going ard taking pics of everyone, candid or pose. But no one seem to be semangat to take pics. Either act shy la, lazy lah etc den i feel abit out of place coz im a guy...and im the eldest among all the cousins and somehow im the one who semangat amek gambar. Haha u get my drift? :p
Well, today, my uncle and aunty from australia came by to celebrate aidil adha with us. While all the girls and mums were in the kitchen preparing lunch, I had a talk with my Uncle Henry. He was asking how I was doing in NUS and what my plans were for the future. I was telling him that im still deciding whether to go for SEP, preferably in Australia/New Zealand, but had reservations coz of financial issues and dat SEP kinda will disrupt my plans that I had sort of laid out. He advised that I should take that leap into the unknown, to learn to be independent in another country which is by far will be invaluable later on in life. Furthermore, nowadays having something different in ur uni education will put u in a better state for employment. He also mentioned that when we are young, we should not hesitate to change our plans coz 1 or 2 years deviation from our initial plans will not affect us so much and by altering, we learn to be flexible and grab those opportunities that come our way. Heh well said by a man who earns millions of dollars through his business in property management and developing real estates. What's more, his daughters and son (meaning my cousins la haha) are doing so very well in their respective universities and guess what? My cousin Debra, modelled for Tianpo jewellery advertisements! Those billboards at bus stops....how cool is dat???? hahahaha keep a look out aightz? haha apparently she's super hot and tall but she's attached to dis australian guy :p
Happy new year to one and all...May you have a blessed and fulfilling year ahead of you, Insya Allah :) and for Wan...another year passed, a year closer to marriage hahahaha

Wet Wet Bintan
Hey guys...juz reporting from Bintan. It has been raining non stop since i reached here last nite..which is so sad la coz been stuck in the room, only going out to eat...sheesh and dis one juz using the internet cafe which is super ex! 20 mins for 5 bucks and a subsequent 1 buck for every 10 mins. Ah well, its worth it coz im so dead bored :p and no one is online to talk to me! haiya...wrong timing but well, it has been very relaxing coz all i do is laze on the bed with my family, read books and watch tv haha
Last week was a great experience travelling up to KL with 19 silat pple to the ATMA invitationals. Although we diden bring back as many medals compared to the previous UM trip, i tink it was a experience not to be missed. The gals got 2 bronzes while the guys were all knocked out in the prelims or quarter finals. Abg azmi said he dun wanna coach the guys anymore coz of the dismal result ahhaha mcm2 abg azmi ni (whatever mcDonalds :p ) Frankly, for me, i was really disappointed with my match. not only did i get myself beaten real bad, i oso got pancit in the 3rd round haiya. But it was worth it :) i learnt alot and insya allah will prepare myself better for the nez competition in January.
Competition aside, i tink it was a really good bonding session with those who went. I mean, i did not have my usual group of frens on the trip and i wasnt sure dat i would enjoy myself but boy was i wrong! Many let their hair down (figuratively...mozly pakai tudung per...), can see the gilaness of everyone especially abg azmi haha the non-stop cheering during matches, cam whoring at every possible minute, making friends with Malaysian mats and minahs, eating army cooked food together, the night outing at A&W, disturbing our liaison officer Faris hehe, playing MURDERER! Polar Bear! haha u know wad....a simple game like chi-ko-pak became a full blown competition among all the pesilat haha sampai abg azmi tgk kite sampai geleng2 kepala :p and of coz the Doraemon gang....i wonder who came up with dat and dey called me Sinyu! coz of my sepet eyes and spiky hair hahaha Hudee was Doraemon, Hoirul was Nobita, Zul was Giant ahahhaha and of coz the never ending arguments between Hudee and Zul....what a laugh!
And then, between matches, we also sat around talking....sharing each others secrets! ya rite :p juz talking and getting to know each other better :) and i tink dis KL trip allowed me to talk 2 pple whom i have never really had a proper conversation with before...and it was juz nice hehehe i mean all of us bz wif sch work and during training, we barely have time to talk to each other. And who could forget the gila nite under the asrama where we all gathered in a circle, each having to sing hahahaha i wasnt really in the mood coz of all my injuries heh but no doubt it was so much fun looking at the gelagat satu2 :p ah yes...when everyone trudged back to sleep, had a talk with abg azmi and ibrahim outside the room, juz silat stuff hahahaa and the final night in KL where we packed mcm sardine illegally into 3 biliks haha i guess the only low point in the whole trip (apart from the endless waiting - kate malaysia haha asik2 sedang diuruskan) was hudee losing her wallet at Kenny Rogers, or perhaps stolen would be a better word. Yeah...hudee was all sad..which diden last long and was back to her bubbly self :D like lin said...wallets are like guys...u can always get a better one nez time :)

Silat
After 2 days of training...i tink im super shagged. All that running and sprinting realli gotten to my legs. And today's sparring session was OK...but would have been better had i not feel so tired. Still got much to improve...and the ATMA silat competition in KL is drawing really near! two more days in actual fact. So im like gonna leave for KL dis thurs with the silat peeps and the supporters (semangat silat hehe) and probably be back nez tues or weds. Datz looong!
Well im kinda looking forward to it la...but still rather apprehensive ie not confident ah. Well, baru baik dari my operation ahakz (my physio terkejut wen i told her i going for competition in 2 weeks time =p) By right im not supposed to be involved in any sporting activities for at least 6 months. But by left, im going for competition 6 mths after my operation! ahahaha Insya Allah i will take care of my arm and nuthing will happen :) Im juz goin there for the exposure. No real goal...it would be nice to go all the way to the final but let's see how it goes hehe
So i guess i wont be back till tues or weds nez week...and jsfbmmznjttmjo...

Finally! Exams are over!
It's over! It's over now its over, im (not) sorry its over! hahaha dis sem's exam period is a realli realli long one...rite from the 1st day of exams till the last. It made me realize that eventhough the papers were spread out, it still put a great toll on stamina and determination to pull it through. It got realli tiring coz i had to keep studying and studying. Of coz the spaced out papers gave me some breaks but still...its studying throughout. i hope my lack of stamina will not affect my last paper, insya-allah.
Ok...enuff of academic stuff. Tomorrow, i will be off to Seremban wif my family to visit my grandparents. Oh while i was talking abt visiting my grandparents, i found out dat Raiyan's nenek lived in the same neighbourhood as my nenek...juz a few streets away! hahahaha small world :p so anyway....i will be missing the K2P trip 2 Johor on sat and the ATMA training on sat too...Well, den...im gonna be a big boy and take the train alone back 2 spore on Monday while my family continue their holiday in Malacca. Things i do for silat hehehe
I tink the highlight of the week will be the ATMA invitationals in KL from 15-18 Dec. Im kinda worried coz i haven had enuff training. I dunno how well or the others in NUS Silat will do. But i noe, no matter the result, hopefully everyone comes home safe and sound, devoid of injury insya Allah :)
So i guess i shall leave u pple here for now. Till my next update...

Birthday Celebration
"Kite semua slalu buat mistake, tapi nari kite bawak bday cake"
Haha...had a impromptu mini celebration for laila today at pacific coffee =p Well, not exactly impromptu coz lin already planned on buying a cake wif me and meeting laila and winni for lunch hehe but of coz it was realli nice to see dat laila was clearly pleasantly surprised :) it was dis tweety bird chocolate butter cake which was damn nice! ahahaa we decided to eat at LJS, courtesy of a 'scissors paper stone' game (ish budak2 zaman skrg haha)
i showed dem the K2P 'wedding' at my house during our jalan raya a few weeks back and i tink dey all cracked up over and over again looking at the different 'kerenahs' of the guys hahahaha from the merepek pantuns to the nonsensical 'hantaran' and the whole process itself. But i guess dats wad make us different :) we have a whole range of guys from diff backgrounds and interests but wen together, we are juz a bunch of crazy pple (in a good way!) and they are the reason y university life is much more bearable and memorable...
The galz dragged me to shopping! ahhaha and according to lin, i managed 2 survive 1 1/2 hrs of girls shopping....woohoo! dey went to countless shoe shops, clothes shops...and more shoe shops hahahaha and oh yes i bought 2 t-shirts at TopMan and dey were amazed dat i actually bought baju...sheesh....as if i nvr shopped for clothes b4 :p and laila left us with an 'amazingly-wowed' pantun....

hahahahhahaha now back 2 studying for methods! urghhhhhhh....
