For You, A Thousand Times OverI think that Kite Runner is a wonderful book. It is full of wit, philosophical inclinations and seeks to understand the goodness of human nature (and the bad of course). Sadness coupled with themes of love, loyalty, revenge, jealousy, guilt and redemption makes it so engaging...i finished the book in 3 days! haha but wad i enjoyed the most was the irony, cliches and interchanging of words that provided such different meanings. I am a believer of words...be it written or spoken. I feel that words are more powerful than actions because they carry with them meanings and intentions. Anyway, there were two phrases of such nature that are my fav:
It wasn't meant to be...or was it meant not to be?Took him out of the certainty of turmoil but placed him in the turmoil of uncertaintyI thought that they were beautifully phrased :). Before i forget or loose that sms, i thought i would share wad Maly shared with me about this book called 'The secret'
1) If you see it in your mind, you're gonna hold it in your hands.
2) Our feelings let us know what we are thinking.
3) The universe likes speed. Dont delay. Dont second guess. Dont doubt. When the opportunity is there, when the impulse is there, when the intuitive nudge from within is there, act. Thats your job. And thats all u have to do.
4) Unless u fill yourself up 1st, you have nothing to give anybody. thereforew it is imperative that you tend to YOU 1st. Attend to your joy 1st. People are responsible for their own joy.
