Bureaucratic DisenchantmentThe past week has been trying and challenging in the midst of filming, editting and budgeting due to the constant 'sorry my hands are tied' excuses. But other than that, I think my team is doing great getting past constraints and having fun while filming despite unexpected twists and turns :) As for silat PSK....dats another headache, if it weren't for the kids, i would have been long gone....
On a side note, during PSK, the two girls whom i played catching with in April haha they actualli remembered me as the abg cine:
Nabila/Shirin: Helo
Me: Name sape?
Nabila/Shirin: i nabila lah...tu shirin. dah lupe eh
Me: Sorry la....umur brape?
Nabila/Shirin: 10. Maseh sekolah?
Me: Skolah.
Nabila/Shirin: Secondary mane?
Me: Errr....university
Nabila/Shirin: Kate sekolah!!!!!!!
Me: University tu skolah lah......belom keje
Nabila/Shirin: dulu amek psle kan? Brape eh?
Me: PSLE??? dah lame tu.....mmm 241.
Nabila/Shirin: Wahhhhhh upon 400? Ke 300? (nods) wahhhhhh kawan kite dpt 182.5. Abeh gi secondary school? 5 tahun?
Me: Tak lah...4 tahun.
Nabila/Shirin: Asal 4 tahun? Express eh? Slalu 5 tahun kan?
Me: Oh abg nye 4 tahun pastu gi jc
Nabila/Shirin: Eh? JC tak bagos! jgn pegi...poly lagi bagus.
Me: Tak bagus? Asal? Abg da habis pon jc hehe
Nabila/Shirin: (looks at my pass) name FADZLI...coach seh...wah hehe asal muke cam gitu?
Me: asal ngan muke abg?
Nabila/Shirin: mcm mr bean!
Me: rabak....mr bean seh...tak hansem?
Nabil/Shirin: hehehhehe
What transpired throughout this cute funny conversation? hehe look at the mindset! the education track they have in mind....psle, normal acad, poly/ite. There is something amiss somewhere dont u think? the culture of race....hehe its DATA! :p

NYC project kickoffed smlm...it was exhilirating hahaha my only regret was being unable to support nus silat team. Still proud of u all lah. Those yang kalah, its not the end of the world and u all still good :) Those yang menang...aiseh bedah all the way la hehe
so yap the crew: mas, jun, val, muk, rino and me (me yg main hentam interview haha. Jun yg expert. Val's the cool camera woman, Mas yg memang bagus, Rino yg power making this happen, Muk yg drive power la kejar motor hehe)

Post Op Depression Phase
Honestly, the past two weeks was realli a depression phase. I mean i diden really go out 2 meet pple, rarely tegur pple on msn or if not, i keep getting 'hey, hows the arm?' messages hehe brooding over being unable to play having trained so hard the past year, waiting 2 play ganda 4 3 years, only to break an arm 2 weeks b4 comp...and ganda moves goin thru my mind or the friendly match. So yea...i have been hiding in my shell, wallowing n self pity n the utmost feeling of vulnerability (da la dlm sling, my bone berlubang2 pulak tu).
Den suddenly i saw the light! (dramatic ah sikit) things are beginning to fall into place...like things i had overlooked in trying 2 juggle a couple of projects n silat at the same time...im able to better commit and manage, perhaps more impt things :) and i also realized that i haven given my support to team NUS and especially my sis...who has been goin 4 training while i lull abt at home. i believe in you ok? dun sad sad, dun stress stress! I will start coming down!
oh kamie n zola...my bear nye name 'coolshine'...pasal dier pakai topi cool n mata dier sepet tapi mcm 'glowing' gitu mcm sunshine haha
this week has been fruitful...met up with my nyc teammates val, jun and mas. things are starting 2 look good! sushi n waffle ice cream n chocolates n kaya buns n library books! MHA talk wif soci pple -chris, eugene n oliver! Simpang outing wif mas, jannah, haida, rino n latiff! Alhamdulillah good results! :)
