Im Juz tired
I tink in my prev prev post, i 'showcased' (chey wah haha) all the events dat i have coming up...yeah im really really tired...especially FOC ar. I noe everyone seem super psyched up to be planning it especially programmes, grand finale etc but for me...logistics is a real headache. Logistics is a comm that has to PRODUCE things in the sense that we have 2 cater to what others want...which is tough la. and to make it worse is that people keep changing and changing and adding more stuff and the list becomes very headachy haha (got such a word?).
Booking of facilities is troublesome. its not as if u juz go to OSA or wad and sae 'hi, i need the rooms for dis date and time. thanks.' Nooooooo...OSA ngan dorang punye bureaucratic stuff nak proposal la...nak name of caterer la...menu la...if play movie or music muz have license la...bla bla bla and it becomes my duty 2 twist and turn the programme so dat OSA will be satisfied wif it. And of coz other comm would juz sae 'fadzli, can u help book the place? thx' i mean as nice as i am...i do have 2 hands and 2 comm members under me. smlm nye meeting wen dey finally recee the function and dining hall dey realise its not wad they have in mind. now i hav 2 go find a suitable location. i hate last minute work coz u are competing with others who do have camps.
i juz feel dat pple dont value my judgement and it is frustrating at times. its not as if i nvr inform pple for eg. i inform the comm dat there is to be a nussu camp on the same period so thr would be some places where there might clash and hence need 2 book locations faster2. but of coz pple sae the more the merrier. den the case of grand finale sitting on the ground to makan..i said ants will come. yeah of coz dey want kampung style. so up to dem...
oh one more point which hakim brot up....this scenario sounds familiar:
'eh kite nak speakers/van/logs stuff/sponsorship.....tanye mendaki ah mesti ade'
we have come to become dependent on mendaki and seem to treat them as a logistics base. what i feel is that pbm or ms seem to be 'begging'. How is Mendaki supposed to rise up 2 portray its image as a self-help organization and champion malay success if its future leaders (meaning us) treat it as a logistic ie begging hub?
im truly sorri if i hurt anyone. i noe its not fair to maly or kamie or whoever else in foc that i might have been sarcastic with. U guys are great. i truly mean it. i noe foc will be a blast =) but people have their own rights to how dey feel and some things that tick me off. u pple noe im patient and seem easy going but yea...i do have a stressed side to myself. so dont take all this personally im still ur nice, helpful, responsible logs/transport/accommodation head.
