Well the talk was on providing us with a lens on viewing the true essence of Islam through the life of the Prophet, how he delivered the message of Islam through his many noble actions. What then is the objective of Islam? Many would say justice. Yes its true, BUT justice is just one condition. Peace is. We can have justice but no peace and dats because there is a lack of forgiveness. Wen u feel injustice is done unto u, u wan justice....but u wun find that inner peace without forgiving yourself and others :)
Lesson 1: Your past is your school. It has meaning . God wont put u into a situation without reason which u may or may not find out :)
Lesson 2: Your past helps you empathize the present. For example, if youre poor and u become rich one day, never forget your past coz it will gif u the light to help those who are poor coz u understand their situation
Lesson 3: We are naturally attracted to 'things not good for us' e.g. There needs to be proper management and control. We learn the soft way. E.g. Parents who have to deal wif their kids wanting to party...u dun lock the door and dun allow him to go and say "Its HARAM" without explaining. Educate softly plus strategic distractions
Lesson 4: Knowledge is essential. We cannot have deep faith without knowledge...so search for it! BUT we may fall into the trap of worshipping knowledge
Lesson 5: Doubting yourself is natural. It is being humble...getting knowledge and nurturing humility builds you up and prevents arrogance
Lesson 6: Love is protection. Love is being together despite each other's weaknesses. Love makes you stronger. Marriage is half your religion hehee wan happi!
Lesson 7: Respect and forgiveness and sincerity...
Lesson 8: Life is fragile. Never forget to tell those you love that you love them :)
