Something Random...We always talk about ethnic self help as an ideology perpetuated by the state (dan org2 sewaktu dengan nye i.e. leaders). About how, once we are rich/successful, we should not forget our roots and help the community. So together, with a larger band of MC individuals, we can uplift the community and progress and compete with others.
Now that is an 'elitist' top-down mindset. Have we ever wondered about the bottom-up process? That perhaps there is an expectation from friends/family that once you are successful, you are SUPPOSED to help and not doing so legitmize you as being 'sombong'. "mentang2 dah pandai...gini ah, lupekan member" etc etc...now is it truly helping out or has it become a burden? This is what i call 'bottom-up self help' ideology (Fadzli, 2008) haha with help from kamie and maly :p
there is a new superhero in town...sepetman to the rescue!!!! :p
